Local Roots: The Edible Prairie Project’s Mission to Nourish Gillette Residents

At our office, we believe that being a great agent goes beyond helping clients buy and sell homes — it’s also about showing up for our community in meaningful ways. One of our agents, Lexi Ostlund, is doing just that by serving on the board of a local farm-to-table organization that focuses on educating and nourishing local residents through community food sourcing. Utilizing hands-on experiences with gardening, fresh food, and sustainable practices, this organization is helping people develop a lifelong connection to where their food comes from — and Lexi is proud to be a part of that mission.

As a society, we’re becoming increasingly aware of the connection between where our food comes from and our personal health. That connection is at the heart of the Edible Prairie Project, a local Gillette non-profit, passionate about farm-to-table food supplies. Their mission is to create greater food stability by supporting local agricultural producers and ensuring their fresh, nutritious products reach members of the community who need them most.

This week several of our agents helped bag supplies for Edible Prairie Project's summer weekend meal program. The weekend meal project provides a well-balanced meal each weekend throughout the summer break to children and their families.

At RE/MAX Professionals, our agents enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community they love. Whether it’s serving on boards, helping at events, or supporting local causes, their commitment goes far beyond real estate.
